Ricky on a Door

Leo

Ithaca College has been kitten-free for years, primarily due to wonderful reporting of stray cats by staff and students, so cats are captured, returned to owners, or neutered and adopted, before they grow shy and have kittens.

However, we did notice the brown cat wandering around near the old farm by Coddington Road, and rumors came that he was male...so the trapping effort didn't take place quite so aggressively. Food was put out for the brown guy, with plans to trap him once kitten season calmed down.

Well, "he" was a "she" and Gillian presented IC with kittens in the old barn. As soon as staff noticed their little faces peering down from the loft, cage traps were set and the entire family was captured. Gillian was spayed, and the kittens are up for adoption.

Leo

Ricky

Ricky (black w/white) likes to poke around, especially in high places. Leo is a plushy gray kitten, a bit more shy than Ricky. Both are very sweet, playful, and love their wet food treat in the morning and night. They will need to be confined to a single room in their new home(s) for a week or so, until they bond to their new owner, since they are still a bit shy and tend to dance away when strangers want to catch them up off the floor. They will grow out of this when they bond with their new owners.
