Access, food, and shelter for the catsThese shelter boxes have two entries so cats can escape wildlife, aggressive cats, or curious humans.Cage traps can be set right inside. With the box locked, cats can be captured in a warm, secure place. Traps cannot be tampered with. Currently there are two shelters. We plan to put four boxes on this site, and remove some as the cat population decreases over time. Plans for the boxes are here (link not yet active). They cost about $27 each to make. This is step one in colony management. Provide cats with food and shelter, and get them away from areas where they could cause problems.
