Artemis

CAT FACTS:
Spayed female
Birthday unknown but probably around January 2003
Not yet FeLV tested. Will test upon adoption
Up to date on rabies and distemper vaccinations
Special Needs: As a former barn cat, she is not used to being picked up, even though she is very affectionate. If adopted as a pet, she must go to a home with no children. If adopted into an exceptional barn, children are OK if they are used to being around livestock and farm animals.

Artemis

Artemis is a beautiful tiger Manx cat, born in a barn in Enfield. Caught with her 26 fellow barn cats to be sterilized, she informed us she was not a wild kitty by purring up a storm in her cage. After being spayed, she made it clear she was uninterested in returning to her very noisy barn, by curling up in a ball in my lap and refusing to leave to face the barking dogs when we took her back. How could we resist those big round eyes? Into the truck she went, and she came back to Wildrun.

Artemis

However sweet Artemis may be, she is not used to being picked up. If she thinks you are going to hurt her, she smacks out in fear, or squeaks when you try to lift her. She will scratch if scared, but she is not mean. She likely will grow out of this with a thoughtful owner, but we cannot guarantee that. Artemis therefore is suitable for a quality farm such as a horse barn where someone wants a genuinely nice, beautiful barn cat, or an indoor home with mature owners and no children.

Artemis

She truly is a sweet, beautiful, and playful cat. If we just wanted to get her out of our place, she could have stayed at her current barn. But it is clear she is hoping for human love, and we would like to see her win it from you.
